Opinion – North Korea’s provocations leave Japan, allies short on options | The Japan Times

Here’s a balanced, well argued and realistic article from the Japan Times. It candidly admits that Japan is apparently stumped over how to deal with North Korea, which has carried out its sixth nuclear weapons test in defiance of international warnings.

The article shrewdly highlights the weakness of sanctions alone, even with China’s leverage.

It should be contrasted to a very different viewpoint published in China’s Global Times. For a completely different perspective, see yesterday Guardian editorial.

With Trump still ranting in his tweets, I keep coming back to the same question:

Who’s really controlling power in the US, the globalists or the nationalists?

Thoughts?
