Trump Vows to Totally Destroy North Korea if it Threatens U.S. – New York Times

I agree with Donald Trump for giving the UN a bit of a shake-up. I also understand his reference to America First. However, whilst I agree with him factually on both North Korea and Iran, I believe that he seriously underplayed the importance of diplomacy.

It will be interesting to see newspaper headlines in Russia and China on Wednesday.

Despite Trump’s veiled threats on South Korea, he still needs diplomacy. Let’s hope that his words don’t precipitate further escalation from North Korea.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson: Downplaying Our Involvement in Climate Change is “Simply Irresponsible” – Futurism

Futurism reports that Neil deGrasse Tyson has criticized politicians and the media for “cherry-picking” scientific studies on climate change that downplay human involvement. It suggests that in the wake of recent hurricanes, the astrophysicist described this behavior as “irresponsible.”

The article seemed light on evidence to justify their claim. So I ran a quick search on Google Scholar for ‘climate change‘ and found thousands of articles.  As an after-thought, I ran a search on Google Scholar  for ‘Neil deGrasse Tyson’ and ‘climate change’. 

Personally, I struggled to fins any publications by Mr. Tyson on climate change.

Surely it’s not about cherry-picking the evidence, rather summarizing and analyzing it? Perhaps, next time Futurism could look for evidence?
