Boris Johnson has revived the romantic vision of Brexit we so desperately need according to Jacob Rees-Mogg in the Telegraph.
Johnson and Rees-Mogg are No 1 and 2 on the list to replace There’s May. Both are from highly privileged backgrounds. Rees-Mogg played the tradition card, painting case for a dated Tory vision. To win the next election, the Conservative Party will need a leader with a vision of radical change and the personal qualities to deliver far-reaching change. For the Conservatives to win the next election, they need to appeal to young voters. For me, both Johnson and Rees-Mogg don’t have the right qualities
Thoughts?
Dr Alf is right, both these highly socially advantaged politicians are unsuitable Prime Ministerial material and Boris is frankly too fat ,too lazy and too much of a buffoon.
Rees Mogg understands business but hasn’t a clue about social disadvantage when he talks about food banks representing the idea that the UK is a caring and compassionate society when their presence in the face of Times 1000 Chief Executives failing to perform in 95% of cases and paying themselves up to £9 million GBP a year when bonuses and other emoluments are factored in is a disgrace.
The country needs urgent reform ,exports at triple the present level, bosses earning their keep, many more houses, proper infrastructure,a better climate for inward investment and heightened worker productivity.
Our economy as Archbishop Justin Welby said not too long ago is broken, people are lazy and are shown poor example.
The indiscipline and joblessness in the young can be fixed by National Service and that in turn will fix the military recruitment crisis.
Young ,telegenic leadership is required along with a new Cabinet of people who don’t look the same age as Noah the Biblical figure who died at the age of 968 but have fire in their bellies and a sense of mission.
