Opinion – Half of voters want criminal probe of Hillary Clinton’s private email use — RT USA – John Gelmini

The answer to Dr Alf’s open question is ‘yes’ but even if it happens, nothing will happen to her because she is too powerful.

America, like the UK, has a country within it’s borders which actually runs it.

Ours is called the City and Corporation of London, with its own Lord Mayor, police force, flag, laws and secret rules – theirs is called Washington DC.

Washington DC is run by four people, one of whom is Hillary Clinton, who is in turn a personal friend of Donald Trump, the stalking horse for her candidacy for President.

As a born and bred Londoner, I’m proud of my home city, although I have not lived there for twenty-five years. Many  times, I have returned to London after extended periods overseas and it always seems to both delight and disappoint at the same time. Perhaps, as a visitor I can see more clearly the changes?

London is one of the world’s great cities. But unfortunately, it is a city of extremes, as highlighted in the FT article. For ordinary working and middle class families, London has become almost prohibitively expensive – certainly for millennials. You probably need to be seriously wealthy  or have a very high income to appreciate the best of London.

Much as I love London, I’m generally glad to leave because of the pollution and sky-high prices. See in a related blog that Londoners are now likely to die prematurely because of poor air quality.

Let’s hope London does not become like Beijing.
