Neil DeGrasse Tyson: Downplaying Our Involvement in Climate Change is “Simply Irresponsible” – Futurism

Futurism reports that Neil deGrasse Tyson has criticized politicians and the media for “cherry-pickingscientific studies on climate change that downplay human involvement. It suggests that in the wake of recent hurricanes, the astrophysicist described this behavior as “irresponsible.”

The article seemed light on evidence to justify their claim. So I ran a quick search on Google Scholar for ‘climate change‘ and found thousands of articles.  As an after-thought, I ran a search on Google Scholar  for ‘Neil deGrasse Tyson’ and ‘climate change’.

Personally, I struggled to fins any publications by Mr. Tyson on climate change.

Surely it’s not about cherry-picking the evidence, rather summarizing and analyzing it? Perhaps, next time Futurism could look for evidence?

This is an insightful subjective view of China from Chris Buckley writing in the NYT. He cites a slowing economy, a campaign against corruption and the Communist Party’s grip on intellectual life left the nation in a state of waiting.

Reading this article one gets a biased view of China. First and foremost, it’s a subjective time warp and gives no sense of the amazing journey and rate of change and achievement in China. In China there are enormous challenges but this true in other countries too. For example, do you think that history will be kind to Obama’s foreign policy or Merkel’s policy of Syrian refugees?
