I think Helen raises some excellent points. You will see that I have posted three open questions to Helen’s comment. Here are the three emerging questions:

1. Should routine psychological testing for pilots become the norm?
2. Should commercial planes be required to have two pilots flying the plane at all times?
3. Is there a need for a new international air safety regulator?
