CNN reports that a new study has reviewed all the data on the harms and benefits of statins to help the millions with high cholesterol worldwide ensure they are informed.

I’m still not convinced that this is a balanced viewpoint. For example, there are lifestyle choices to reduce cholesterol too. Also there’s probably not enough evidence to show the long term impact of statins.

What about a major research study comparing the benefits of a Mediterranean diet Vs. statins?

The Daily Mail reports that Greek scientists saying that their trial of healthy men and women, with an average age of 30, shows e-cigarettes are ‘far more dangerous than people realise’. This is addition to WHO demands for curbs on E-cigarettes.

So why are governments and the EU not taking a more forceful line to ban E-cigarettes?
