Academic claims doctors and nurses ‘don’t need to show compassion’ to patients | Mail Online.

 

Surprisingly, I find myself agreeing with UK Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, for a change.

Personally, I struggle to understand healthcare without compassion. I think that nurses and doctors have too much power in UK society and the government should intervene with measures to promote return to effective care, including compassion.

Let me turn this to an open question:

How should the UK Government intervene in healthcare policy so that patetients get more compassion from doctors and nurses?
