Dr Alf poses an interesting question, namely “Any thoughts on Hilary Clinton as the likely next President of the US”?
Barring ill health, mental incapacity, an unfortunate accident, or a meteorite strike on Mrs Clinton, the Republicans look fractious and divided, and most of her Democratic opposition too inexperienced to beat her.
There are problems with gun control, Obamacare and what to do with all the people displaced by technology and with America‘s response to militant Islam and to China.
These suggest that someone with experience in the job is needed, not a telegenic rank outsider who understands America but does not understand the wider world.
President Obama is a failure, a model of dithering, procrastination and indecision.
Mrs Clinton is none of those things, so despite disillusion with the political process, she is likely to win and become the next President because the rest of the contenders are not up to the job and are seen as such.
