Personally, I do not think that the risks that the ASI paints are alarmist, they’re considered and realistic.

Dr Alf wonders what is worrying David Cameron.

The answer is he is afraid of getting lost in a sea of candidates, afraid of losing to Miliband who has all the time in the world to practice and has been advised not to by the bluff Antipodean Lynton Crosby who fears that Nigel Farage would upstage everyone.

He is also afraid of the real state of the economy and what might happen in America and Europe.

David Cameron is a vote loser, as I have been saying for several years now. The mistake was not replacing him with Boris a year ago as the Conservatives may yet discover to their cost even if they get the most votes.
