If we look around the World’s leading democracies, like the US, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, Canada or Australia, one is acutely aware that some people are more equal than others.

The author, Itamar Rabinovich, is Israel’s former ambassador to the United States, and is President of The Israel Institute (DC and Tel Aviv) and is a senior scholar at Tel Aviv University, New York University, and the Brookings Institution.
Natanyahu has won a powerful political victory at home, and has been able to reduce the hold of powerful minorities, giving him a freer hand. Now he must work on strengthening relations with the US and Europe. He must also chose carefully in his dealings with China and Russia.
