CNN reports that a new study has reviewed all the data on the harms and benefits of statins to help the millions with high cholesterol worldwide ensure they are informed.

I’m still not convinced that this is a balanced viewpoint. For example, there are lifestyle choices to reduce cholesterol too. Also there’s probably not enough evidence to show the long term impact of statins.

What about a major research study comparing the benefits of a Mediterranean diet Vs. statins?

The Shifting Challenges Of The World Economy.

 

Soros is highly critical of the actions of Angela Merkel in relation to the Euro. He describes how all the power in Europe has shifted to the debtor countries, at the expense of weaker creditor countries. AND Germany’s actions, he argued, has perhaps unintentionally created a political backlash across Europe – this, he likened to when France insisted on German reparations, post WWI, and the latter led to the rise of Adolf Hitler and German Nazism.
