It’s not enough to say what MPs do in private is private – this is especially so for ministers and influential members of select committees.

Not only has Vaz destroyed his own career, he has brought the Labour Party into disrepute. At a time when the far-left and far-right are suppressing the truth and behaving like the end justifies the means, there’s an urgent need for politicians of the center to defend normality – rent boys are not normal, at least not yet.

What ever happened to morality?

Sadly, this is just the latest tale of bungling bureaucracy on David Cameron‘s watch. There is another twist to this story; the same bureaucrats are keeping Chinese visitors out – visitors who want to spend money in the UK’s shops and also potential investors in UK firms.

Any thoughts on where this will end?
