British taxpayers liable for £800m of misspent EU funds – Telegraph.

Auditors are accusing the EU of squandering money, whilst at the same time the European Commission is responsible for excessive austerity which has left much of Europe savaged by the unprecedented economic and social damage because of bungling bureaucrats; most mainstream economists plus the IMF think the European Commission’s policies on austerity have been excessive.

Why are the bungling EU bureaucrats not held to account in the courts for for there mismanagement of EU funds?

Any thoughts?

IMF Survey : Confidence, Competitiveness Key to Boost Recovery in France.

Personally, I have long been of the opinion that France has been living on borrowed time, with life style not compatible with economic reality. Most importantly, I think that Francois Hollande’s Government has made matters worse.

Of course, the dagger has been thrust by Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, and former French Finance Minister. Is this a veiled signal that Lagarde might have political ambitions in France?

Any thoughts?
