This is hardly surprising, the Iraq war had several objectives and was planned at least two years in advance by the Neocons. Tony Blair effectively went along with GW Bush, even though the war was illegal, and there were no weapons of mass destruction. Those objectives including the seizure of oil, the Balkanisation of Iraq into three entities and the creation of a “Salafist Principality”, were met. Another objective was the seizure of something in the Baghdad museum, which the Americans wanted so badly that they placed the museum under heavy armed guard whilst other places experienced looting. Blair has no conscience and is devoid of honour but will avoid the consequences of his actions like most establishment figures for whom there is one law whilst everyone else is governed by the law of the land.

Opinion – White House lays out case against Brexit – FT.com – John Gelmini

English: US President Barack Obama and British...

English: US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron trade bottles of beer to settle a bet they made on the U.S. vs. England World Cup Soccer game (which ended in a tie), during a bilateral meeting at the G20 Summit in Toronto, Canada, Saturday, June 26, 2010. The White House lays out the case for Brexit on what it sees as the advantages of remaining in the EU not on the basis of its true agenda which is using Europe as part of a concentric layered defence of the American homeland, getting Europe to pay a lot more for defence so that America can “pivot” towards China and eventually take it on using space based weapons and weather warfare to bring it to heel.

Dr Alf brings us an excellent article from the Financial Times and believes passionately in the EU and he is probably right to say that the clock cannot be put back.

I also feel that the clock cannot be put back but I think that out of the EU and within EFTA we would be able to trade globally and be freer to operate outside of the constraints of a German dominated United States of Europe which is what the EU is becoming.

The Remain case says that we will lose influence in the world but conspiracy theories aside what influence do we have now?

The answer, other than our seat on the Security Council at the UN is very little, we cannot project naval power because we have aircraft carriers without aircraft, just 17 escort vessels for all of our shipping, no maritime patrol boats to patrol our coast (all of these have been sent to France to deal with migrants_. We have no fighting and storming robots, an out of date RAF and an army the size of a large Papal Guard with inadequate equipment.

The Chinese and the Americans would sit up and take notice of us while we were in the EU, the traffic lights would turn green when we arrived and our hosts would weigh our words carefully because they knew the weight of EU opinion was behind us.

We saw the reality with “Yo Blair” during the Iraq war and we saw it again when Gordon Brown who Obama despised, was forced to meet Obama in the White House basement.

For more than a year the Chinese refused to see David Cameron and held up £8 billion GBP in trade and contracts because of Cameron’s insulting remarks about human rights all uttered in public and also because of Cameron and Nick Clegg’s audience with the Dalai Lama.

These events happened very recently, during our current period of EU membership and it took George Osborne who wisely said nothing publicly, to break the logjam during his visit to China in 2015.

The EU’s “High Representatives” are Baroness Catherine Ashton and Van Rumpuy, two totally nondescript and uncharismatic individuals, one looking like a Marks and Spencer clad infant school teacher and the other looking like a cross between Yoda from the Star Wars film and an Orc from Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings”. No-one has ever taken these two seriously and if someone did, they would find that Baroness Ashton’s telephone does not get answered after 8.30 pm at night despite her generous pay package.

Influence comes from a strong economy, military power and having strong charismatic leaders. The UK has none of these things although the Queen who supposedly has no power, is good at influencing Commonwealth leaders.

Dr Alf believes the EU can be reformed whereas I look at the past 41 years and see little evidence of such reform up to now, only bone headed immigration policies that will see Europe Islamicised and the UK’s population driven up to 80 million plus by 2025.

Germany, under Merkel, is already building 350,000 houses and flats a year and is expanding the conversion of dormant industrial properties to become hostels for yet more migrants. This will then be used as the lever to get all EU countries to open up their borders and take yet more people.

At some point we have to say enough is enough and not listen to a failed lame duck President who is only worried about himself and does not even care about ordinary Americans let alone the welfare of the British, a people he despises whilst pretending to be our friend.
