This is a must-read report from NBC. It cites a new report looking at what causes stomach cancer found three new somewhat surprising links: alcohol, processed meat and obesity.

Excess alcohol, process meat and obesity are all unnatural, so it’s surely not so surprising that these are linked to stomach cancer.
If people abuse themselves with excess and the burden falls on the wider society, like in the UK’s example the NHS, it is the responsibility of governments to intervene.
Let me ask an open question:
How should responsible governments intervene to reduce consumption of alcohol, processed meat and increasing obesity?
Thoughts?
