There is good new about jobs in the US, reported in the Financial Times.

With focus on global unemployment this week and the Lost Generation of young people, many will ask why is Europe so far behind the US coming out of the recession?

Just how much of the blame for European unemployment is attributable to austerian policies emanating from Berlin?

In my view, policy-makers are not doing enough to stimulate demand, increase growth and create jobs for young people. Most economists target the US, the UK and Germany in being too austerian.
