This is a well-reasoned but controversial article published in the NYT. Nevertheless, it’s well worth a read!

In my life, I have met people addicted to both alcohol and drugs – both are potentially deeply damaging and addictive. Alcohol and drugs dependency are a sign of weakness, in particular, with people of a weak character. For me, legalizing Marijuana is a sign of a weak society – it’s also significant that it’s happening on Barack Obama’s watch.

The NYT article cites some good evidence but concluding in favor of Marijuana over  alcohol is irresponsible.
