According to the Jerusalem Post, if a bomb knocked Airbus A321 out of the sky, that would challenge Egypt’s assertions that it had brought under control militants operating in the Sinai Peninsula.

This is an insightful article into the terrorists that operate in Sinai. What is most worrying is that this sort of model could easily be exported and provide a wider threat. The Sinai terrorists operate in small virtually invisible cells.

The Washington Post claims that the Egyptian and Russian regimes are far less adept at fighting terrorism than they are at lying.

This article claims that the Egyptian and Russian leaders want to avoid being accused of being indirectly responsible for the air crash. Egypt is responsible for security at the airport. Russia’s intervention in Syria has drawn retaliation.

US opinion now supports the UK that this was a terrorist attack, probably a bomb planted at the airport.
