Personally, I support more quantitative easing but it is no substitute for a policy shift from the UK Government. Austerity is not working, nor are companies and individuals spending – they are frightened. The right policy response is huge stimulus to increase corporate and personal investment. I fear that George Osborne will impale, both himself and the UK, with the point of his austerity stick.
