The article shows how Afghanistan’s shrewd leader has turned to India when he could not get necessary armaments from Pakistan. In the past, India has been wary of supporting Afghanistan to avoid aggravating Pakistan’s sensitivities. Given the Pakistani military alleged ties with the Taliban rebels, this latest intervention will have severely embarrassed Pakistan which is currently struggling on many fronts at the moment.
