I think that Stiglitz is right about the Clintons and Blaire’s Third-Way. Although I’m a conservative and have been all my life, I identify with the anti-austerity lobby. Austerity has been too deep and too prolonged. But it’s the liberals and socialists who have lost their way by not offering credible economic management. Many democracies are witnessing a polarization towards both the hard-left and the hard-right.
