This is a brilliant article from Andrew Rawnsley in the Observer. It’s a MUST READ in my view. Check it out!

Personally, I very much identified with this article.

When David Cameron first came to power, I hope that he might be a one-nation conservative or a compassionate Tory. {Open this link for more detail on my political views} Reality, as demonstrated in the above article, is that Cameron has has no convictions other than staying in office as long as possible.

As a life long Tory, I have often been ashamed by David Cameron’s leadership of both the Government and the Conservative Party.

Let me turn this to an open question:

How do you think that history is likely to remember David Cameron?

Any thoughts?

Dr Alf and Sir John Major are right, but “One Nation Toryism” and, for that matter, representation of anyone earning less than £250,000 gbp a year, has been a mirage for a very long time.

How this is to change under the present system is frankly beyond me which suggests that barring radically different approaches to Governance just short of revolution, there will be no change.

Any pretense that the UK is a meritocracy or that ordinary people have a voice in how they are governed is precisely that, pretense.

This is why so many people choose not to vote and have no faith in politicians.

They are just beginning to realize what I came to see many years ago from the age of 17 which is that the system is a rigged play with actors reading their lines all controlled by one theater director, who is in fact a puppet controlled by someone else who isn’t even in the theater.
