John McCain is right to support the Kurds. Sadly,  it reminds me of Kissinger’s agreement at the end of the Vietnam War,  the US government abandoned their ally South Vietnam.

Most importantly, McCain is right about a strategy for the Middle East. With ISIS deposed,  Iran is bolstering her influence.

Here’s a must-read and deeply alarming article from the Economist. It looks at the likelihood of Britain again becoming the sick man of Europe.

The scenario is chilling, bringing on the terrible twins, namely the economic implosion of the UK and Corbyn‘s Marxist state.

Conservatives are like lemmings going to slaughter. Sure, conservatism is about ‘tradition’ but not trying to recreate the past which is history. Whether it’s nationalism, xenophobia or simply creating a new wild-west for hedgefunds and newspaper owners is secondary to avoiding he imminent national disaster. The UK’s heading for a national train crash and we need to mount a rescue team, now.

I remember the UK in the seventies, with the three-day week, power outages and the 1972 miners’ strike. I was a young man and went to work overseas. Are today’s British young are ready to go overseas? I fear that too many are listening to the ‘Pied Piper of Islington‘.

Are there no young, telegenic conservative MPs that still believe in public service, people who are prepared to put their career on the line defending convictions? Don’t the Conservatives have a John McCain?

Please, is there a doctor in the ‘House’?
