It saddens me that left-wing politics has been corrupted by the hard-left. The rhetoric of the hard-left is based on dogma rather than evidence.

In my own mind, I am also reflecting on the Telegraph’s lead story of masked anarchists taking to the streets of London. For me, the article was too light on the masked anarchists who injured both police and horses.

Without a traditional middle ground Labour leadership, the UK will increasing lurch towards confrontation between the establishment and the rising swell of anarchists.

It’s time for tradition Labour Party supporters and politicians to act, before it’s too late.

For me, freedom of choice and small state have always been important. I have always been slow to accept authority.

With elections in the US, France and Germany shortly, it is time to look at democratic principles. This is especially important as both the hard-left and hard-right gain more traction in many societies. Unemployment, austerity, immigration and inequality are hardening political views.
