Regular readers of this blog will know that John Gelmini and I both feel that the UK’s Labour Party chose the wrong Milliband brother. When ‘Red Ed’ stabbed his brother in the back, it was inevitable that sooner or later he would fall victim to the same fate. The only question is ‘when?’

The reality of the last for years in the UK is that David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Milliband have all performed ineffectively.

Unfortunately, the Labour Party have failed to remove Red Ed before the election. This means that the UK Labour Party is not providing effective political challenge ahead of the election. The implications could be profound.

Originally, scheduled for January, the Cabinet Office has now delayed the publication of the Public ServicesWhite Paper until after the local elections in May.

It seems that the White Paper will “expand employee ownership of public services by increasing the number of new structures including co-operatives, mutuals and spinouts, and provide details of how to establish a right to mutualise.”
