Russia‘s Tass newspaper considers Theresa May‘s actions against Russia, with May accusing Russia of being behind the nerve gas attack on a former Russian spy now living in the UK. There are a couple of interesting observations here. Firstly, there’s no mention of the dozens of Russian diplomats that have been expelled from the UK. Secondly, the article rightly asks the question, ‘Where’s the evidence?’ So far, May has made strong allegations, without citing evidence. Presumably, Russian readers, ahead of a presidential election will conclude that there is no evidence and Theresa May is meddling in the Russian election? Thoughts?
CNN reports that a former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser has pleaded guilty to making a false statement to the FBI after he lied about his interactions with foreign officials close to the Russian government.
The next few days will see intense speculation about how this will affect Trump personally. But it’s important because the world can now see that Mueller has sharp teeth. But to get to Trump, surely Mueller must go after Trump’s family?
