According to leading Chinese news source, Xinhua, U.S. provocations threaten to militarize South China Sea. The article highlights that American attempts to infringe on China’s South China Sea sovereignty are sabotaging regional peace and stability and militarizing the waters.

Whilst this story and US think-tank, RAND’s recent study make interesting reading, the Chinese government, just like the Russian government, will have concluded that America has a strategic weakness, namely the indecisive, lame-duck, Obama at the helm.
