After breakfast, we jumped on the No. 22 tram which deposited us at the foot of Petrin Hill just in front of the Funicular Railway. It was a sunny Saturday morning, so there was a huge queue for the Funicular Railway. We left the tourists to the queue and followed the locals up the snaking ascent of Petrin hill. We stopped a number of time to admire the views and take a few photos. We managed to keep away from the crowds and enjoyed a lovely walk to the Strahov monastery where we had a light lunch.
After lunch we headed down the hill, taking the same road as we took from the descent from Prague Castle two days earlier, so we were awarded some good views of the Castle from beneath it. The steep descent…
