  3. Hi Alf,
Let me put it this way, where the best food is, there’s home. Or the other way round, home is where the best food is.
But seriously: I do like TexMex, including Chili, and I do like BBQ [http://pitspersoenlichesblog.wordpress.com/2010/05/17/grillsaison-eroffnet/]. The artice you link to mentions the Saltlick in Driftwood. I’ve heard about that but I’ve never been there – yet. What I can recommend from personal experience are Cooper’s in Llano [http://pitspersoenlichesblog.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/coopers-in-llano-das-beste-barbeque-in-texas/] and Black’s in Lockhart. Both have fingerlicking mouthwatering BBQ. 😉
    Best regards from BBQ country,
    Pit

      • Hi Alf,
        you’re most welcome.
Btw, from Wednesday on I’ll be sampling British food again, as we’ll be touring England and Scotland. I’m especially looking forward to the breakfasts, full English breakfast being (one of) my favourite(s).
        Have agreat weekend,
        Pit
