It seems that Top Gear star, Clarkson, will now be fired.

The is the right decision for the BBC and for the UK. It’s unacceptable for there to be a special set of rules for the rich and famous. I was surprised when Prime Minister, David Cameron put in a good word for Clarkson. Clarkson and Cameron may be buddies but it is wrong for the Prime Minister to intervene ahead of the BBC’s internal inquiry.

It will be interesting to see if the BBC gives Clarkson a payoff. Let him sue the BBC.

Should the UK state funded BBC give Jeremy Clarkson a pay-off?

Thoughts?

  1. Dr Alf knows as we all do that there is one set of rules for the rich and famous and another for everyone else.

It has been that way for over 1000 years and will not change within the next 100.

The Prime Minister and Jeremy Clarkson are members of the Chipping Norton set a group of people who see themselves as an untouchable elite who can say and do whatever they like and who are the Cotswold equivalent of a latter day “Band of Brothers” who can do no wrong and whose job it is to help each other out at the expense of everyone else.

Yes Clarkson will be sacked but he will be paid off not just for loss of office and breach of contract but also in some sordid under the table deal concocted by lawyers to keep certain information about what was said and not said by producers and BBC executives secret.

Then Clarkson will move channels and get even more money and the “mugs”,the licence fee payers will pick up the bill.
