This is the top story in China’s leading newspaper, People’s Daily. It reports on Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi addressing a United Nations Security Council minister, stressing the need to contain the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsular, with the UK and Russian foreign ministers in attendance too.
With the Security Council meeting chaired by the US, this was a reminder to the US that China is probably the only restraining influence on North Korea. The Chinese FM cited previous diplomatic successes with North Korea.
With both the US and North Korea being led by volatile and unpredictable leaders, China’s restraining influence is welcome. Unfortunately, the Trump regime is probably looking for quick wins. For UK readers, it was good news that Boris Johnson took a low profile.

The problem here is Kim Jong Un and the fact that the West has shown its true colours with non nuclear powers.
Gaddafi was embraced in a bear hug by Tony Blair in a tent in the Libyan desert and had no nuclear weapons. When he subsequently decided to create a new African currency not linked to the US dollar but backed by gold he signed his death warrant and after Libya was invaded Gaddafi was trussed hand and foot in the back of a pickup truck and murdered by brutal jihadists. Hillay Clinton was seen laughing uncontrollably at the sight of this television footage and the footage showing the bloodied and beaten Ghaddafi just before his demise.
Saddam Hussein of Iraq had no nuclear weapons either and supposedly ended up being executed.
General Wesley Clarke can be seen on You Tube describing the 7 countries being targeted for “regime change”, one of which was Libya and two more are Syria and Iran.
As Dr Alf and others can see for themselves by reading the words on the Project for a New American Century website, other countries are targeted for “regime change” including Russia, China and North Korea, so Kim Jong Un is not wrong to be concerned and in his position I might well wish to keep my nuclear weapons and keep people off balance.
If he thinks people are going to come after him anyway, he is not going to listen to the Chinese nor to Donald Trump, so he will fight reasoning that he will take his enemies down with him.
A Tesla Dome which the Americans have would be enough to contain North Korea’s missiles and the application of an earthquake weapon and HAARP could be used to decimate North Korea’s military, create floods and Tsunamis and kill off Kim and his entourage allowing time for China to install a stooge.
Once done, America, China and perhaps Russia, a participant in the 1st Korean war, could then guarantee the peace.
