This is a truly unbelievable article from the Times of India. It’s a must-read in my view. Check it out!
Regular readers of this blog will know that I strongly favor reforming bureaucracies.
Sadly, there is frequently a shortage of strategic analysis in public sector organizations. India probably has some of the most inefficient bureaucracies in the World – perhaps they have lost their way since colonial times?
Of course, the real weakness in India, as highlighted by this story, is the meddling politicians – only when politicians stop meddling will bureaucracies start to become efficient.
Thoughts?
